Woodland Birds

Lesser Spotted Woodpecker


Early this morning, just as the sun was rising,
I heard a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker calling, in the woodland below,
"Oh, don't deceive me, oh, never leave me!"
It did, but I managed a few more record shots!

    These are all really lovely photos, I'm very envious of the Redpoll having never managed any really decent shots of them.

    Many thanks Jan - Whitacre Heath is a great place for woodland birds, especially Redpoll at the feeding station hide.
