Draycote Water was very quiet this morning

Having missed yesterdays Snow Bunting, I was at Draycote Water this morning at first light in the hope that it might still be about. Alas, it was not, despite a thorough search of Draycote Bank and everywhere else as well. Indeed, Draycote was "dire", with nothing to get excited about. Had it not been for a Kingfisher on Draycote Bank, Grey Wagtail on Farborough Bank and some photographic opportunities with common species, I would have had more ecitement watching paint dry!

    Hi Kevin, Lovely photos again. I have yet to see a Kingfisher at Draycote, I keep hoping but think it is probably because I can usually only get there in the afternoon when there are too many people about.

    Bad luck on the Snow Bunting, I was hoping it might hang around until the weekend but it seems not, such is my luck!

    Cheers, ShySongbird. The Snow Bunting has probably gone, but who knows, it could be tucked away in the rocks or another one (or more)may appear. Its back to work for me tomorrow so no more birding for a while.
