Brandon Marsh - Wood Sandpiper

I was half dozing at home following a night shift, scanning the local birding sites, when a report appeared on the Brandon site informing that two Wood Sandpipers were on Willow Island. Now, this is a life tick for me so I dropped everything and drove to Brandon (on auto pilot!) hoping they would still be there. Indeed they were, showing well, too distant for any pics, but scope views enabled me to study their finer points and what fantastic birds they were.

Slightly less "hacked off" now!
